Into the Woods @ Norton Theater

Little Theatre of the Rockies closes its 85th Anniversary season with Into the Woods. Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine is a Tony Award winning musical based off the fairytales of Brothers Grimm and Charles Perrault. Following fairytale characters such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and many more, this musical connects each character through highlighting the consequences of each of their actions. All the characters cross paths when trying to fulfill the wishes they all have: Cinderella wishes to attend the King’s festival; Jack wishes his cow would give milk; Little Red Riding Hood wishes for bread for her grandmother; and the Baker and his wife wish for a child. A wrench is thrown in when a witch appears to grant the Baker and his wife’s wish, but they must first bring her ingredients to create the spell. ; a cow as white as milk, a cape as red as blood, hair as yellow as corn, and a slipper as pure as gold. Watch how each of these characters helps the other to fight villains, face their fears, and make all their dreams come true. The show runs July 18-20, 25-27, and August 1-3 at 7:30 PM and July 21, 28, and August 4 at 2:00 PM.
